Thomas has limited telepathy within canon, and in MoM that's getting flushed out to be a regular, all around power, so with the same sort general restrictions typical telepathy would have - talking in another person's mind, reading surface and deeper thoughts + memories, sending images or notions, etc. Last round in MoM, he did a lot of experimenting with trying out mental suggestion as well. So, with things like "my ID totally says I'm 18 and not 16" or "my tattoo totally says I'm Registered and not that I'm Unsettled", he ought to be good, and the more advanced things like actually making other people say and do things, he'll be working on now, and training to e better with.

Another thing that I played with back when he suuuper sucked was Thomas having moments of mental bleed over? Like, when talking to Grey in his head, he wasn't able to totally keep all of himself out of the mental link, and some thoughts and feelings and memories etc would transfer over. Since he no longer TOTALLY SUCKS at this, it doesn't really make a lot of sense for it to be happening a lot, BUT in really intense moments, or times that Thomas is really stressed/upset/freaking out, since his mental stabilty is so tenuous just by virtue of how deeply traumatized he is in general, this is still a possibility, if people want to play with it? Just be forewarned, Thomas's head is a mess of content warnings, so there can be some pretty intense stuff that comes through if Thomas is caught at a serious freak out moment.

FOR OTHER TELEPATHS LOOKING INTO HIS HEAD, Thomas DOES have mental defenses now, taught to him by Emma, and there's more about that in his general permissions that I'll link down before. However, if we do have your dude get into Thomas's head (which I'm up for working out), it's a really dark place with a lot of bad, bad memories, often pretty close to the surface. Suffice to say, there will be super spoilers for The Maze Runner novel series, and warnings for human/child experimentation, scary monsters, torture, death, sad stuff. As for Thomas's own mental informations, please check out his general permissions!

I'll always contact you before I have him actually make your character physically do something, because I don't want to godmode anything, but yeah, this is just to get an idea of what you're up for. <b>Do you want to do any kind of bleed over thoughts/feelings/memories if Thomas is flipping his shit while mentally connected?:</b> As stated above, if Thomas is really upset/panicking/worked up, he can be prone to overshooting his telepathic brain-links and sending more of himself than he means to, without really realizing. So your dude might get some flashes of what Thomas is thinking of feeling or short images of memory that happen to be on his mind? Idk. If you answered yes, it's cool for Thomas to read your dude's mind, if you guys could do me a solid, and when it comes up in a thread, leave something in the small text/narrative stuff about their thoughts that Thomas is allowed/should be able to pick up on, that would be super fantastic. Just so I don't have to guess or go stalk you down oocly o7

In general, she allows telepathic communication, but otherwise, barring unusual circumstances, Thomas is getting nothing she didn't feed him. Additionally, in her secondary diamond form, she is psi-blind and immune to telepathy.

To what extent is it cool for Thomas to explore you dude's brainpan? He can have reasonably free rein. She's three, so her dark secrets are mostly about how she has a crush on a boy back home and also her plans for world domination.
What kind of stuff would be cool to Thomas to dig up, if he spends more time snooping in your character's head? The one thing that will stand out more than anything else: Val is a terrifying supergenius. Depending on how his telepathy works, he might not think fast enough to follow her thought processes. Also she's constantly thinking about four or five different things at once. It's noisy but very well-organized in her head.
AND THEN, something batshit that Thomas probably isn't good enough to dig up yet but hey it could happen: she has what basically amounts to a past life. She lived in a parallel universe with different history until her mid-teens, then was regressed back to a fetus and went on to live her current life. I AM NOT MAKING THAT UP.
What stuff do you NOT want Thomas digging up in your character's head? No finding out the secret identities she knows, plus no ruining her sinister plans without discussing it first. :P
Do you want to do any kind of bleed over stuff while Thomas still sucks at using this power? Sure why not.

Anything else? RIGHT SO for MoM, Val got her mother the Invisible Woman's powers, one of which is force fields. They block all psychic powers, so she can shield herself/others, or throw a force field around someone to prevent them from using their psychic abilities on anyone else. Val doesn't practice much and lacks her mother's stamina, so she'd get exhausted quickly trying to fend off a sustained telepathic attack, but she does have some defense if she becomes aware she should be using it.
