[ This boy is terribly frustrating. Stiles had been very pleasingly unargumentative; she'd asked for information, he'd given it, no problem. His twin, on the other hand, is irritatingly curious, and is proposing any number of uncomfortable things. No, she can't go to the government offices, not when she's just had Skye delete at least some portion of her files; no, she absolutely cannot spend time with Stiles, who has some bizarre friendship with the man who would destroy her if he knew she was still alive. And now he wants to know why she wants them, and she can't very well tell him that it's because she wants to stay ahead of their investigation so that she can save the whistleblower from justice, can she? ]
I'm bored, and I'm smart, and having talked to Stiles I don't really trust him a whole lot to be honest. So I want to help and keep him honest.

I just told you I'm not giving you their files because I don't want them having the press crawling all over them. Maybe one or several or none of them are guilty, it still doesn't give me or anyone the right to treat them like they are. Either way, I'm not handing out their sentences, I'm just finding out which one did it.

I told you. I work a lot of hours. I'll have to take time off work to go there, and that comes out of my pay, and there's another day I won't be able to afford the deposit on my own place.

I see why Stiles called himself the funny one. It was more a comment on you than it was on him.

Yeah, well, good luck. I'll be rooting for you while I'm completely unable to do a thing on this investigation because you decided to be a complete arse.
It'd take about thirty minutes, maybe an hour to port to Maurtia Falls and get to the government building, and all you have to do if pick up the notes. Less if you're already in the city.
If you want them, I'll leave copies with the lady at the front desk. That's the only way you get them. If you want to send a messenger, they better be an imPort or they can't get in.
